<b>Keyboard Connection</b>, first launched in 1999, was the concept of pianist Charlotte Tomlinson. She recognised the difficulty many people have in finding a pianist when they want one, and the lack of provision in the music profession for a network that fulfils this gap. She approached Richard Smith, Managing Director of The Musicians Answering Service (MAS) London’s leading orchestral diary service, established in 1976. Keyboard Connection was set up as a self-contained part of MAS specialising in keyboard players of all genres, combining the reputation built by MAS within the classical music business for professionalism and reliability, and the specialist knowledge of a successful freelance accompanist.

Since launching the service, Charlotte has continued her busy playing career and is currently working in Holland. Our new Specialist Advisor Helen Crayford, an exceptionally versatile pianist experienced in all genres of accompaniment, can ensure that all our clients are of a very high standard expected from our service.

With nearly 30 years working in classical music, the systems and working practices at The Musicians Answering Service ensure a continued high level of support, both to musicians and fixers.
